Manchester United suddenly enter race for World Cup-class midfielder

Man United has recently joined the race to secure the signature of the most sought-after midfielder following the conclusion of the 2022 World Cup a year ago.

Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has been in exceptional form, playing a pivotal role in the Moroccan national team's triumph over several illustrious names in the football world, most notably the Iberian Peninsula giants Spain and Portugal, to reach the World Cup semi-finals for the first time in history.

After a dazzling month in Qatar, Amrabat has become a hot commodity and is highly coveted by top European clubs in the midfield position, such as Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

Recently, the Manchester United behemoth has entered the race and immediately made contact with the representative of the Moroccan international regarding a potential move to Old Trafford this summer.

According to journalist Sara Meini, Amrabat's current club, Fiorentina, has valued him at around £30 million. However, given the current intense interest, she believes that the price tag for acquiring the Moroccan midfielder will not be less than £40 million for any club interested in securing his services.

Meanwhile, reputable transfer news outlet Fichajes is more concerned with the growing number of clubs expressing interest and making contact to acquire the 27-year-old midfielder rather than the transfer fee to take Amrabat away from Italy.

According to Fichajes, Manchester United has quietly been monitoring Fiorentina's midfielder since the winter transfer window last year but hesitated to pursue Amrabat until they observed his performances in the latter half of the current season in Italy.

Erik ten Hag is said to greatly appreciate Amrabat's playing style and spirit, believing that he would be a perfect fit for the playing philosophy he is constructing at Manchester United. The team at Old Trafford holds the greatest advantage over their rivals due to their reputation, ambition, and financial resources.

This transfer saga promises to be an intriguing one in the coming days as the competition for Amrabat's signature is likely to intensify with clubs already starting to make their moves.
