Manchester United Secretly Recruits a Striker Who Once Mesmerized Europe

After successfully securing Mason Mount, Manchester United has recently made a surprising breakthrough in the pursuit of a highly sought-after striker throughout Europe.

Following the completion of the acquisition deal for Mason Mount, Manchester United's next target undoubtedly had to be a center-forward. It was expected that they would persist with their pursuit of Harry Kane, despite facing difficulties with Tottenham. However, the Red Devils have now achieved a significant advancement in their plans.

Instead of continuing to pursue Kane, the Ten Hag team has shifted their focus to a younger, more energetic, and promising striker. That player is Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus, and the recruitment process is progressing well.

Specifically, CalcioMercato reported that Vlahovic's representative has directly met with Manchester United to discuss the future of the 23-year-old forward. The Serbian international is believed to be open to the idea of joining Manchester United to participate in the upcoming Champions League campaign.

Vlahovic possesses the key attributes of a modern-day forward, including versatility in finishing, physicality, speed, smooth ball control, and excellent free-kick ability. As a result, many top clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and even Real Madrid have shown interest in signing this striker.

Nevertheless, Manchester United currently holds an advantage over all others. Compared to Chelsea, they have secured a Champions League spot. Arsenal has recently made a costly acquisition in Kai Havertz and already has Gabriel Jesus in their ranks, while Bayern Munich is pursuing Kane and Real Madrid is focused on Mbappe.

With Juventus needing funds to offset their financial shortfall due to missing out on the Champions League qualification for the upcoming season, Vlahovic has become their prime asset on the market. However, the price they are requesting from Manchester United stands at £80 million.

Although this figure may not be ideal, it is still softer than Tottenham's demand of £100 million for Kane or a similar situation with Victor Osimhen from Napoli. The selling club has expressed their willingness, and the completion of the deal now depends on whether Manchester United is willing to meet the price.
